Docol RP/BH

Docol RP/BH grades are high strength phosphorus-alloyed steels that combine their strength with excellent formability, for consistent, repeatable properties to assist modern rapid production methods.

Grades are available with minimum yield strength levels from 220 to 300 N/mm² in thicknesses 0.4 - 3.0mm.

These grades offer formability close to that of mild steels.

These steels exhibit both work-hardening and bake-hardening properties resulting in a strong finished component after processing.

Typical applications are in automotive presswork where the pressing and painting operations add strength to the component, but the high formability as-supplied allows the manufacture of complex items.

Select these materials where quite deeply drawn pressings require strength, enabling downgauging of a mild steel cost-effectively.

These grades can be bent, punched and sheared on standard workshop equipment. Slightly higher forces may be necessary but this does not generally cause problems.

These grades are fully weldable by standard methods.
